An odd show this week. I decided to take a week off, but still am releasing a 50 minute show. That makes no sense. I couldn't very well leave you empty handed could I? Of course not.
 
Here is a brief intro regarding the first year of the podcast, followed by two in-depth interviews from GDC. First we talk to Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment about Stargate Worlds. This is a very detailed look at what you can expect from this upcoming title. Following that we had a candid discussion with the folks from Netdevil. They told us about their new FPS game Warmonger and then we discussed the Lego MMO, and finally you will have an answer as to why Auto Assault isn't on the XBox 360. The answer is not what I expected to hear!

Day four at the Game Developer's Conference.  Brenden from FalconTwin.com arrives to help with the reporting of GDC Day 4 and a huge help he is as he adds insight to our interview and reactions to the private demonstration of Pirates of the Burning Sea that Flying Labs was kind enough to provide.  Following the demo Brenden and I discuss what we saw.  We also drop by the SOE booth and have a lively conversation with Alan Crosby the Global Director of Community Relations.  We attended some excellent sessions during the day and also had the opportunity to attend two excellent parties this evening, all of which we'll discuss on tomorrow's show.

Day three at the Game Developer's Conference. Mark Jacobs from EA Mythic granted an excellent interview to VirginWorlds today. We started with no real agenda and ended up with some fantastic insight into EA Mythic and Warhammer Online. Afterwards, I spent some quality time with Monty Sharma from Vivox who showed me the latest and greatest in MMO voice communication. Colin Dwan and Lee Hammock from Icarus Studios took me on a tour of Fallen Earth, the post-apocalyptic action-MMO. The day was wrapped up neatly by a panel populated by the kings of the MMO world. Day two at the Game Developer's Conference. Today I talked with Magnus Bergsson the Chief Marketing Officer of CCP. We discussed the upcoming enhancements to EVE Online including the ability for players to get out of their ships and walk around in space stations. Magnus showed be an incredible clip of the avatars within a station and they're everything you are expecting and more. The new DX10 graphics are amazing, bringing this already great looking game to new heights. Moving on, we talked about the new MMO that is now being developed. World of Darkness is based on the White Wolf role playing world and CCP is moving head with the effort without delay. Listen to the podcast to hear more from Magnus.
